Part of the 21st Century it is common to find 4 generations working together in the same organizations, and project teams. This calls for special awareness in Project Management Professionals, with a heightened sensitivity to the characteristics and motivations of multi-generational teams. In this session we will reflect on key characteristics and work styles of the following generations: The Veterans (born before 1948), Baby Boomers (born 1948 – 1964), Generation “X” (born 1964 – 1980) and “Y” (born 1980 – 2000). Multi-generational workforces pose special, but not insurmountable, challenges to organizational Leaders, Managers and Project Managers. Our goal will be to identify straightforward and pragmatic approaches to meeting these challenges.
